Landsoverzicht

Bhutan (officieel het Koninkrijk Bhutan) is een klein, door land omgeven land in de Himalaya in Zuid-Azië. Het wordt geregeerd door koning Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, die sinds 2006 koning is. Bhutan werd in 1644 gesticht door Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel. De Bhutanezen zijn er trots op dat hun land altijd onafhankelijk is geweest. De hoofdstad is Thimphu. De officiële taal is Dzongkha.
