Landoversigt

Bhutan (officielt kaldet Kongeriget Bhutan) er et lille indlandsland i Himalaya-bjergene i Sydasien. Landet styres af kong Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, som har været konge siden 2006. Bhutan blev grundlagt i 1644 af Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel. Bhutaneserne er stolte af altid at have været et uafhængigt land. Bhutans hovedstad er Thimphu. Det officielle sprog er dzongkha.
